CROCHETING/KNITTING - (AGES 8 - 14)

Learn the basic knitting and crocheting stitches and how to read patterns.

When: Thursdays (April 26 - May 24)

GUITAR FOR KIDS - (AGES 8 - 12)

Be a real guitar hero! Learn music basics like tuning,  tempo, rhythm and dynamics play simplified chord and riff's from guitar tab.

When: Wednesdays (May 16 - June 27)

NEW! KARATE (ALL AGES)

If you are looking for a way to help your child improve their focus and self-discipline, equip them to be better prepared to stand up to a bully and peer pressure by building their confidence - then this is a great chance to try Super Kicks Karate! Family class ages 4 to adult. Improve your fitness, self-defense, confidence, and self-discipline, with a strong emphasis on leadership skills.

BATON (BEGINNERS, AGES (4 - 16)

Participants will learn basic twirling techniques.

When:  Thursdays, (begins October 6)

6:30 - 7:00 p.m. for beginners
          7:00 - 7:45 p.m. for Juniors/Drill Team

Fee:
$35 per month, On the first night Natasha will measure and order each girl's baton and costume to be worn in parades and recitals.  Cost for these items are separate and only one time during the year.

MOONBEAM GYMNASTICS! FOR BOYS AND GIRLS  - (AGES 2 - 12)

A unique combinations of not only gymnastics, but experienced coaches guide children to sports, health, nutrition and physical education. It improves hand and eye coordination, balance, strength and sportsmanship. Increases confidence and self esteem. Each child will earn a prize at the end of each class, as well as receive a trophy at the end of the season. 

When: Tuesdays (On-going class through May)

SUMMER CAMPS

SALEM JUNIORS GOLF CAMP (AGES 9 - 13)

This camp is designed for the first time player who has never been enrolled in formal lessons. Previous participants do not qualify. Players will receive a starter set of clubs and four days of lessons from the pros at Hanging Rock Golf Course.

When: June 18 - 21 (Deadline for registration - May 10)

Fee: $50 (starter golf club set, lunches & a round of golf on Thursday included)

HANDBUILT CERAMICS (RISING 6TH - 9TH GRADERS)

Come stretch your creative muscles as you learn how to form original works of art in clay! The basic skills of hand-built ceramics will be taught through the pinch coil and slab methods using low fire clays and glazes.

(Exactly the same class is being offered two times - pick the week that you would like)

When: June 18 - 21 or June 25 - 29

Andrew Lewis Middle School (616 S. College Ave.)
Time:
8 - 11:30 a.m.

Fee: $45 (includes all materials)
Class Limit: 20 per class

SALEM ART CAMP (AGES 8 -11)

(Exactly the same class is being offered in two separate sessions, pick the session you would like) Salem Art Camp is a week-long experience. Campers will learn about artists, art techniques, and dabble in art history. Sessions are identical and are for students ages 8 - 11.

When: July 16 - 20
Location:
GW Carver Elementary (6 E. 4th St.)
Session 1:
10 a.m. - 12 Noon
OR Session 2: 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Instructor: Darlene Marshall, Mike Gibson - City of Salem School Teachers
Fee: $40 (includes all supplies)
Class Limit: 22 per session
